An Old house

My Dad found a farm house in Gresham, WI. he thought I might find interesting. The house didn't seem all that old, but it was definitely run down. It had a bunch of old stuff in it from chairs and pictures, to spoons and TVs.

As soon as I got to the house, my camera started to flash its low battery icon. Afraid I would run out of juice, I started shooting away. Even though it lasted for over 100 shots, I think I'll remember to charge it next time!

Traffic in the Moonlight

I've wanted to capture this picture for some time now. I found the motivation and went out to the spot I had picked out.

I tried this photo a few times before I found the right composition. My only wish is that I went a little earlier to get the moon closer to the horizon.

As I was waiting for my long exposure to finish, I noticed another potential shot. Yes, the walking path. I thought it was cool the way it was lit up.

Quincy Mine and Hoist : Keweenaw National Historical Park

On a recent work trip I had to stop and take a few pictures of the Quincy Mine and Hoist in Hancock, Michigan. Here is what I came up with.

Found a really cool train. Added some textures

Hay Day

Not sure why I wanted to get a shot of hay bales all season, but I finally found some. I didn't want to trespass either, so I had to make the best of what I had. Luckily that included a zoom lens.

Black and White Ship

I wanted to go out and shoot on an overcast day but found it hard to get what I wanted. According to digital-photography-school.com this was the best time for some black and white shots. So I thought I would give it a try. 

Compared to how they started, I think the pictures turned out well. I like how some of them look like old photographs. What do you think?

Late Summer

I had gone to my parents one evening to feed the dog as they were up north for the weekend and decided to grab my camera. Even though I grew up there, I never saw the potential photographs I could capture. Here are some of the photos I like.
